Addy Awards offer multiple benefits for La Sierra Art+Design Students

When Bethsy Carballo entered the American Advertising Federation’s Addy Awards regional competition for the first time earlier this year, she didn’t expect to win. The email that arrived announcing her placement was a surprise.

The American Advertising Awards, playfully referred to as the ADDY Awards, is the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local competitions.

Carballo was among 16 students in La Sierra’s Art+Design department who won Addy Awards last March via the Inland Empire chapter of the American Advertising Federation. Three of her four submissions captured awards in the editorial spread feature, packaging, and magazine design categories, with a respective silver and two bronze student Addys.
