More than 1,400 Pathfinders, leaders, and families gathered at Lake Skinner from Nov. 6-9, 2025, for the Southeastern California Conference’s (SECC) annual Pathfinder Camporee. This event brought together clubs from across the region for four days of worship, outdoor activities, and spiritual renewal. The theme “Servants & Friends” emphasized unity, service, and reflecting Jesus in everyday life.
According to Michel Aguinaga, associate director for Club Ministries, the goal this year was “to come together, worship together, be outdoors together, and do Pathfindering together.” The theme was linked directly to the Pathfinder Pledge to be “a servant of God and a friend to man.” It sought to remind young people that God’s kingdom has room for everyone and that friendship and service remain at the heart of Pathfinder ministry.

Laffit Cortes, Escondido church lead pastor, was the guest speaker. His sermons, “Champions Serve First” and “Friends Show Up,” re-emphasized what it means to be a Pathfinder: to serve others and to be present for those around you. Several moments stood out for the Youth Ministries team. One highlight was the powerful Saturday night worship led by the Waterman Visayan Pathfinder club, whose heartfelt rendition of “Gratitude” moved many to tears. Another meaningful moment was the prayer of blessing over club directors, an emotional affirmation of the leaders who nurture Pathfinders week after week.
Months of preparation went into bringing this large-scale event to life. Logistics and planning required all hands on deck, which included planning in collaboration with the youth department and Pathfinder coordinators. “It’s our biggest event in Club Ministries,” Aguinaga shared. “Our coordinators are invaluable—they’re the experts.”
Looking at 2026, Aguinaga hopes to see Pathfinders grow in spiritual maturity and community involvement. “I just want to see Pathfinders give their lives to Jesus and reflect Jesus wherever they go,” he shared. Whether in uniform or in daily life, the mission remains the same: to live out the principles of service, friendship, and faith. The 2025 Camporee was not just a gathering; it was a reminder of God’s movement among young people and a celebration of a ministry continuing to grow stronger each year.

Más de 1.400 Pathfinders, líderes y familias se reunieron en Lake Skinner del 6 al 9 de noviembre de 2025 para el Camporee anual Pathfinder de la Southeastern California Conference (SECC). De cara a 2026, Aguinaga espera ver a los Pathfinders crecer en madurez espiritual y participación comunitaria. «Solo quiero ver a los Pioneros entregar sus vidas a Jesús y reflejar a Jesús dondequiera que vayan», compartió. Ya sea en uniforme o en la vida diaria, la misión sigue siendo la misma: vivir los principios del servicio, la amistad y la fe. El Camporee 2025 no fue solo una reunión; era un recordatorio del movimiento de Dios entre los jóvenes y una celebración de un ministerio que seguía creciendo cada año.
