Every winter, students at Riverview Christian Academy (RCA) have the opportunity to participate in a snow skiing/snowboarding PE program at Tahoe-Donner Ski Resort. “The ski resort provides an affordable way for our students learn how to ski/snowboard, while at the same time fulfilling the requirements of the physical education class” said principal Glenn Bentjen.
Furthermore, the RCA student are not the only students who are currently attending the 4-day PE sessions in the snow. Students from the neighboring Adventist schools of Fallon and Susanville have also been invited to join in this great opportunity to enjoy nature during wintertime.
These opportunities have provided the Adventist schools of Northern Nevada and California with the chance to make important connections and grow as a part of the larger community of fellow Adventist students.

Educación física en la nieve
Cada invierno, los estudiantes de Riverview Christian Academy (RCA) tienen la oportunidad de participar en un programa de educación física de esquí/snowboard en la nieve en Tahoe-Donner Ski Resort. «La estación de esquí ofrece una forma asequible para que nuestros estudiantes aprendan a esquiar/hacer snowboard, mientras que al mismo tiempo cumplen con los requisitos de la clase de educación física», dijo el director Glenn Bentjen.
Además, los estudiantes de RCA no son los únicos estudiantes que actualmente asisten a las sesiones de educación física de 4 días en la nieve. Los estudiantes de las escuelas adventistas vecinas de Fallon y Susanville también han sido invitados a unirse a esta gran oportunidad de disfrutar de la naturaleza durante el invierno.
Esas oportunidades han proporcionado a las escuelas adventistas del norte de Nevada y California la oportunidad de hacer conexiones importantes y crecer como parte de la comunidad más grande de estudiantes adventistas.
