Adventurers and their families gathered for the annual Adventurers Family Fun Day in the Marin Headlands. While the 2024-2025 theme is “Under the Sea,” this outing focused on exploring “next to the sea,” offering families a chance to enjoy the outdoors and strengthen their connections with one another.
The day included visits to the Marine Mammal Center, Battery Townsley, Rodeo Beach, and other scenic spots. A family from the Lodi club shared photos of their children reaching the top of the hill to see the rare California newts at Battery Townsley. The strong winds made the hike a bit more challenging, but the stunning views of the ocean and the excitement of seeing the newts made the effort worthwhile. For many, this was their first visit to the Marin Headlands, offering a fresh and memorable experience.
At the Marine Mammal Center, Adventurers learned about the rescue and rehabilitation of marine animals like seals and sea lions. They also discovered ways they could help protect wildlife by reporting injured animals and keeping the beaches safe for aquatic life. The event was a wonderful reminder of the value of the Adventurer program, which brings families together in a fun and meaningful way. It continues to provide a space for children and their families to grow spiritually, enjoy the outdoors, and make lasting memories.

Aventura de Aventureros en Marin Headlands
Los Aventureros y sus familias se reunieron para el Día de Diversión Familiar anual de Aventureros en Marin Headlands. Si bien el tema de 2024-2025 es «Bajo el mar», esa salida se centró en explorar «junto al mar», ofreciendo a las familias la oportunidad de disfrutar del aire libre y fortalecer sus conexiones entre sí.
El día incluyó visitas al Centro de Mamíferos Marinos, Battery Townsley, Rodeo Beach y otros lugares pintorescos. Una familia del club de Lodi compartió fotos de sus hijos llegando a la cima de la colina para ver a los raros tritones de California en Battery Townsley. Los fuertes vientos hicieron que la caminata fuera un poco más desafiante, pero las impresionantes vistas del océano y la emoción de ver a los tritones hicieron que el esfuerzo valiera la pena. Para muchos, esa fue su primera visita a los promontorios de Marin, ofreciendo una experiencia nueva y memorable.
En el Centro de Mamíferos Marinos, los Aventureros aprendieron sobre el rescate y la rehabilitación de animales marinos como focas y leones marinos. También descubrieron formas en que podían ayudar a proteger la vida silvestre al informar sobre los animales heridos y mantener las playas seguras para la vida acuática. El evento fue un maravilloso recordatorio del valor del programa de Aventureros, que reúne a las familias de una manera divertida y significativa. Continúa proporcionando un espacio para que los chicos y sus familias crezcan espiritualmente, disfruten del aire libre y tengan experiencias duraderas.
