In January, pastors came together at Gracepoint church for their annual business meeting—a time set aside for learning, alignment, and connection. The gathering provided policy updates, moments of inspiration, and dedicated Q&A sessions with leaders from various administrative departments. Some of the topics covered were practical and necessary, including employment matters, hiring, administrative processes, and even routine but important details like expense reimbursement. The event also offered pastors a forum to share with administrators the everyday challenges they face, giving leaders better perspective on the realities of leading and pastoring in their communities.
Jim Lorenz, ministerial director, highlighted the value of these gatherings: “One developmental aspect we intentionally address is adding to a pastor’s professional toolbox with new or improved skills. There is also the communicational part, where different initiatives can be discussed and clarity can be gained, and lastly, there is the camaraderie of colleagues who might not get to see each other very often.”
Interacting in a setting like this strives to build a stronger, more unified team, better equipped to spread the love of Jesus Christ and navigate the challenges and joys of ministry together.

En enero, los pastores se reunieron en la iglesia de Gracepoint para su reunión anual de negocios, un tiempo reservado para el aprendizaje, la alineación y la conexión. La reunión ofreció actualizaciones de políticas, momentos de inspiración y sesiones dedicadas de preguntas y respuestas con líderes de varios departamentos administrativos. Algunos de los temas tratados eran prácticos y necesarios, incluyendo cuestiones laborales, contratación, procesos administrativos e incluso detalles rutinarios pero importantes como el reembolso de gastos. El evento también ofreció a los pastores un foro para compartir con los administradores los retos cotidianos a los que se enfrentan, dando a los líderes una mejor perspectiva sobre las realidades de liderar y pastorear en sus comunidades.
Jim Lorenz, el director ministerial, destacó el valor de esas reuniones: «Un aspecto del desarrollo que abordamos intencionadamente es añadir a la caja de herramientas profesional del pastor habilidades nuevas o mejoradas. También está la parte comunicativa, donde se pueden debatir diferentes iniciativas y se puede lograr claridad, y por último, está la camaradería de colegas que quizá no se vean muy a menudo».
La intención de interactuar en un entorno como ese es construir un equipo más sólido y unido, mejor preparado para difundir el amor de Jesucristo y afrontar juntos los retos y las alegrías del ministerio.
