The 2026 Nevada-Utah Conference Regional Convocation brought together members and guests from across Nevada, Utah, and beyond for a powerful weekend of worship, fellowship, and spiritual renewal in Las Vegas, Nevada. Held June 5-6 at the Abundant Life church, the convocation centered on the theme “Staying Faithful in a Shifting World.”
The weekend began Friday evening with Pastor Debleaire K. Snell, speaker/director of Breath of Life Ministries and senior pastor of the Oakwood University church. His opening message, “The Power Is in Doing,” challenged attendees to put their faith into action. On Sabbath afternoon, his message, “No Matter What, He’s Still Worthy,” encouraged believers to trust God through every circumstance. He concluded the convocation Sabbath evening with a powerful charge entitled “It Should Be Obvious,” calling Christians to live lives that clearly reflect the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
The convocation also provided opportunities for fellowship across all generations. Sabbath evening featured a youth and young adult gathering at Vegas Valley Adventist Academy led by Kenny Dupree II and supported by youth leaders from the regional churches. Through worship, devotion, games, sports, and fellowship, young people strengthened friendships and their connection with Christ. The weekend concluded with activities for children coordinated by the Abundant Life Adventurer Ministry, including skating and fellowship.
Immediately following the convocation, regional churches throughout Las Vegas united for a week of revival meetings led by Jerrold Thompson, the newly appointed pastor of the Abundant Life church. The meetings served as an introduction to his ministry and brought together members and guests from across the city for worship, prayer, preaching, and spiritual renewal. While four precious souls publicly entered the waters of baptism, many others continue to study God’s Word and prepare for baptism in the months ahead.
Special appreciation is extended to the convocation committee, whose members worked tirelessly for many months to make the event a success, and to the revival committee and regional churches of Las Vegas for their united efforts. Particular thanks are extended to Pastor Donald McLeod, chair of the revival committee, for his leadership and dedication throughout the planning process.
We also express our sincere gratitude to the Abundant Life church for hosting both the convocation and revival, and we congratulate the congregation on its beautifully renovated facility. Special recognition is due to Michael Jenkins, former pastor of Abundant Life, whose leadership helped guide much of the renovation process.
Plans are already underway for the 2027 Nevada-Utah Conference Regional Convocation, which will be held June 4-6, 2027, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The keynote speaker will be Carlton P. Byrd, president of the Southwest Region Conference and former speaker/director of Breath of Life Ministries.

La Convocación Regional 2026 de la Nevada-Utah Conference reunió en Las Vegas, Nevada, a miembros e invitados de Nevada, Utah y otros lugares para disfrutar de un poderoso fin de semana de adoración, compañerismo y renovación espiritual. Celebrada los días 5 y 6 de junio en la iglesia Abundant Life, la convocación giró en torno al tema «Fieles en un mundo cambiante».
El fin de semana comenzó el viernes por la noche con el pastor Debleaire K. Snell, orador y director de Breath of Life Ministries y pastor de la iglesia de Oakwood University. Su mensaje de apertura, «El poder está en actuar», desafió a los asistentes a llevar su fe a la práctica. El sábado por la tarde, su mensaje «Pase lo que pase, él sigue siendo digno» animó a los creyentes a confiar en Dios en toda circunstancia. La convocación también brindó oportunidades de convivencia para todas las generaciones. Las reuniones sirvieron para presentar su ministerio y congregaron a miembros e invitados de toda la ciudad para participar en momentos de adoración, oración, predicación y renovación espiritual.
