The focus of the Pacific Union Conference Native Ministries Department is to share the gospel while serving the spiritual, physical, and cultural needs of Native American communities. The ministry works to build relationships, provide Christian education, support local churches, and offer outreach programs. Through community service, health programs, youth activities, gardening, and evangelism, Native Ministries seeks to demonstrate God’s love in practical ways.
This ministry is important because many Native communities face unique social, economic, and spiritual challenges. Native Ministries helps address these needs by providing support, encouragement, and opportunities for spiritual growth. By fostering trust and understanding, the ministry creates meaningful connections between the church and the communities it serves.
Native Ministries contributes to the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church by fulfilling Christ’s call to make disciples and serve others. The ministry shares the message of salvation while meeting practical needs, reflecting the church’s commitment to wholistic ministry. It helps ensure that the gospel is communicated in ways that are culturally relevant and accessible to Native peoples.
One of the most significant aspects of the ministry during the past quinquennium has been our continued emphasis on community engagement, health outreach, and strengthening local Native leadership. These efforts are helping to build sustainable ministries.
Jesus’ love was reflected in our ministry through acts of compassion, service, and respect for others. Just as Christ ministered to people’s physical and spiritual needs, Native Ministries demonstrates His love by serving communities, building relationships, and sharing hope through the gospel.

El propósito del Pacific Union Conference Native Ministries Department es compartir el evangelio mientras atiende las necesidades espirituales, físicas y culturales de las comunidades indígenas americanas. El ministerio trabaja para establecer relaciones, brindar educación cristiana, apoyar a las iglesias y ofrecer programas de alcance comunitario.
