Karen Montalvo serves as the executive assistant to the VP of education at the Pacific Union Conference. In her role, she supports the Education Department, including coordinating the department’s annual Student Leadership Conference and the Spring and Fall Education Councils.
A Southern California native, Karen brings more than 22 years of experience in administration and organizational management, with roles ranging from office management and bookkeeping to human resources, project management, and payroll supervision. A dedicated advocate for Adventist education, she has served as a parent volunteer and academy school board member in the Southern California Conference for many years.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, serving those in need, and actively participating in her local church, where she sings in the choir.
Karen is married to Juan, and together they have two sons.
